My interest in photography began in 2011 with a DSLR camera bought to better capture moments of family life I didn't want to miss.  The real learning journey started with a 50mm lens Christmas of 2012, where I discovered bokeh and the potential of creating beautiful images.  The study began! They say it takes 10,000 hours to perfect a craft.  While I am in no way close to the 10K, I am loving the journey.  I began to research everything I came across that I didn't know from composition to the photography triad and then off camera flash, strobes and all things studio. This crazy drive to learn more hasn't stopped! PORTRAITURE!  I am smitten. In love.  My favorite art work is that of the Dutch Golden Age painters Johannes Vermeer and Rembrandt, and while I in no way want to bore my clients with attempting such moodiness on them, I do look at it for inspiration on light and shadows.  My favorite music to shoot to in the studio is the French jazz artist Madeleine Peyroux.  Her rich, deep smoothness creates my perfect environment.  So, what started as a hobby is now my passion, and yes, my business.  I have a husband and two wonderful boys who absolutely wish I would learn how to control my excitement over getting that perfect shot.  Not going to happen.   Looking forward to sharing my love for photography with you,
